5 Amazing Christian YouTube Channels You Need To Know About

From its inception, YouTube has been a popular place for people to share their content. Christians are no exception to this rule. We have enjoyed utilizing YouTube for everything from spreading the message of the Gospel to making entertaining content for other Christians to enjoy. It may surprise you to know that there are quite a few popular YouTube channels that are run by Christians. I would like to take some time and write a short post to inform you about some of these channels in case you do not know about them. There are several good Christian YouTube Content Creators out there who did not make this list. I may decide to make a follow-up list at a later date to mention others who did not make this particular list. The following are 5 of my favorite Christian YouTube channels that I think that you should know about:

5. Theology, Philosophy, and Science

This is an excellent channel for those who are interested in learning more about their faith. They post regular videos on apologetics and theology-related topics, including quite a bit of material that is useful for biblical studies, especially the New Testament. If you want to grow in your faith and come to understand the Bible in a more meaningful way, this is one channel that you need to check out. This channel is one of my favorites. The reason it does not rank higher on the list is because many of their videos are longer than average, and I have ADD. They are still well worth watching. People like myself just have to watch in short segments before we get distracted.

4. Blimey Cow

Blimey Cow has been a favorite channel of mine for years now. This channel is a balanced mix of entertaining content with serious discussions. The content will sometimes leave you reflecting, and sometimes leave you rolling on the floor laughing. More than once, I have cried from laughing so hard. In the meantime, this channel is squeaky clean. This is one of those channels that you don't have to worry about your children watching. In fact, I think that much of the content on this channel sets a bar for what entertainment should be. You should check their channel out. Seriously. Do it.

3. drcraigvideos

At number three on my list is drcraigvideos. This is a YouTube channel that features Dr. William Lane Craig, the founder of Reasonable Faith and perhaps the greatest defender of the Christian faith alive today. His channel features everything from short, animated videos to debates. With the wide variety of content available, you are likely to find something that you enjoy. Watching Dr. Craig debate has become somewhat of a sport to many of us. I enjoy watching a good debate. I also think that the animated videos available on this channel are excellent for helping people understand the reasons we have to believe that Christianity is true. If you are interested in his debates, I highly recommend his debate with Christopher Hitchens at Biola University. If you are into animated videos, I highly recommend the animated video on the Teleological Argument for God's existence.

2. timhawkinscomedy

If you are reading this and have not heard of Tim Hawkins, stop reading this RIGHT NOW and go watch some of his comedy videos. Do it PRONTO! Tim Hawkins is perhaps one of the most well-known Christian comedians. His comedy is clean and Christian. His comedy is the type that will pop into your head at random moments and leave you laughing hysterically in the middle of a group of friends who will then think you are insane. That is, until you tell them the joke that popped into your head. He is the Christian comedian you can watch over and over, know what he is going to say, and still roll on the floor laughing at it. God has truly blessed Tim Hawkins with a gift, and Tim has used this gift to bless all of us who have been fortunate enough to hear him.

1. InspiringPhilosophy

At the top of my list is InspiringPhilosophy. This is one apologetics and theology-related channel that you have to check out. InspiringPhilosophy consistently puts out informative videos that will keep your attention. He has an ability to make his point clearly and briefly, in most cases. His videos will both encourage you in your faith and teach you new material. If you have never visited InspiringPhilosophy before, I highly recommend the video "Man or Rabbit". While this particular video is a bit longer than many of his others, you will be challenged by it.

That completes this list. Remember, these are not the only good Christian channels on YouTube. They are just a sampling of those that I think you should sit down to watch. You won't regret watching any of these channels.

5 Things That Are Best Explained By Theism

When discussing my faith with non-believers, I find that the average person is oblivious to the explanatory scope of theism. That is, God's existence explains several things that would be difficult to explain in any other way. In this post, I am not presenting any formal arguments, but am just pointing out what these things are. Arguments will be addressed in subsequent posts.

1. The Origin of the Universe

Neither atheism, nor alternative views of God can adequately explain the origin of the universe. Modern science has lead us to the conclusion that the space-time universe that we inhabit had a definite beginning some 14 billion years ago (give or take a little). The problem for the atheist comes when we realize that any contingent thing has an explanation for its existence that is not found within itself, and that if something had a beginning or could have failed to exist (which describes the universe), it is by its very nature contingent. Neither do other views of God adequatel…

7 Problems With "Lack-Theism" Atheism

In recent years, atheists have increasingly attempted to redefine the words "atheism" and "atheist". Now, rather than being the negative position on the question of God's existence, many atheists have redefined atheism to be a mere "lack of belief" in God. They do not seem to care that there was already a term for this position ("non-theism"). This is often done in an attempt to avoid the burden of proof that comes from taking the negative position on God's existence. Yet, in attempting to eliminate this burden of proof, the one who redefines atheism in this manner has jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Here are 7 reasons why this definition of atheism is problematic for those who use this definition:

1. It Is Rooted In The Etymological Fallacy

In order to justify this redefinition, many atheists will appeal to the etymology of the word "atheist." The term "atheist" comes from two Greek roots, "a-" me…

Profile Of A Modern Pharisee

The Pharisees were one of the major Jewish sects in the days of Christ. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus consistently clashed wit h this religious group on multiple issues. Even though the Pharisees do not exist in the way they did in the 1st century, many religious leaders and laypeople today still fit the profile of a Pharisee. Here are some traits of the Pharisees, both ancient and modern:

1. The Pharisees cared more about their traditions than they did about obedience to God.
The Pharisees believed in the Law of Moses, and observed it strictly. They were so careful to observe the Law of Moses, in fact, that they observed additional guidelines that were meant to help them avoid violating the Law. The Pharisees ultimately observed these guidelines to the neglect of the finer parts of the Law, such as justice, mercy, and love. Jesus clashed with them and called them out on this point (see Matthew 23:23-24). Today, we call this practice "legalism". Legalism is a hallma…
